Feedback conversations at work

A feedback session with Raf Baron, Feedback Coach

Hi,

I am looking forward to our feedback session, and working with you towards a healthy feedback culture!

Feedback conversations can often create tension and anxiety. Because of that, managers are more likely going to avoid sharing valuable feedback with their teams or quickly skip through it.

It’s a very common and universal problem

  • We’ve all been in the situation where we were consumed with worry that we will hurt the other person with some tough feedback.
  • We used a feedback sandwich technique and sugarcoated the real challenge at hand.

It doesn’t have to be that way!

Together we will work through the root cause of feedback anxiety, and you will learn how to start reversing the negative perception that feedback has today.

Having people feel comfortable sharing and receiving feedback is a key component of creating real-time feedback culture, and it makes your performance reviews a lot easier.

We will look at our existing communication habits and how they trigger a defensive response.

You will learn how to create a safe space for difficult conversation and give yourself the best possible chance to deliver feedback or performance review successfully and without tension.

Lastly, I will share with you a simple but powerful (with little practice) tool, that will stop you from jumping into conclusions, get irritated and then share the feedback. When we share feedback in that state, the emotions start running strong, the tension goes up and the only way to come back from it is to apologise.

Ever since I practice this model, it saved me a lot of troubles and improved my relationships with people not only at work but at home as well.

Please fire away with any questions.

Have a great day on purpose,

 Raf

Your growth, your career

You will learn how to take your personal development to the next level.

As you grow and ask for relevant feedback from your peers, you will send a clear message that feedback within your team is welcomed and it’s safe to share it.

Meet Raf

In 2006, I experienced leadership and a people-centered culture for the first time. I felt like I belonged.

I promised myself that I will always create the same feeling to the person on my right and the person on my left.

Public speaking and workshops are helping me scale that promise. In connecting with more people, I can share the tools and inspiration we all need. The goal: to create a working environment where people feel like they belong.

My background in competitive martial arts and managing restaurants brings a set of unique insights and stories. It is in these intense training environments that I discovered that the model of conventional feedback is broken.

And after years of research, testing, and my own feedback, my process throws out the manual that’s separating people. Let’s get people back together again.

Because when that happens, people work better. Teams are more productive. Businesses are happier. And we all benefit.

And it only takes few minutes of your time.

If you happen to know someone that is looking for energetic and engaging speaker, please send them my way, I would really appreciate it!
